This time we present you our most recent project, the installation of a depuration plant in Vigo, Spain.
The aim of this plant is to purify wastewater that comes from the productive processes of the automotive industry, water that contains different types of oils, detergents and other contaminants.
With this in mind, a 4 staged process was design, where each stage is key in the global treatment of the water. This whole process aims to optimize results: increase of the amount of purify water, reduce sludge and comply with the limit parameters established by current regulations in the event of spillage.

The 4 stages of the process:
In the first stage, DECANTATION, the wastewater produced in the industrial process reaches a truncated conical decanter, in which the sludge contained in the water will precipitate. This sludge will be carried by a pneumatic bomb to the D4 tank (external management). 

The decanted water passes through an overflow located in the upper part of the decanter, to reach D2.
At this point the second stage is put into motion, the OIL SEPARATION. Next to D2, there is a separator that takes oil from the surface and then by gravity it deposits the water in one tank and the oil in another, separating one from the other.
Through pumps the separated water will re enter D2, while the oil will be carry to a GRG deposit tank (external management).

Once water and oil have been separated we reach the third stage, FILTRATION. The aqueous phase D2 passes to a band filter that retains particles, still in suspension, and then it will reach neutralization deposit D3 .

The last stage, EVAPORATION, it is carry out by C&G IBERICA vacuum evaporator series V-NT 5000, that is located next to the D3 deposit, from this one it sucks the water to be evaporated. Once the water has been purify it is sent to an accumulation tank, from there it can be reuse in the same or other industrial processes.

The concentrate that results from the evaporation, will be taken to D4, where it will join the sludge produce in the decantation stage to be externally manage.
This depuration process allow us to treat up to 5m3 daily, with a minimization of final waste of less than 3% without needing reagents (only antifoaming), and because of its quality, the reuse of approximately 95% of the distill water.
